The fourth-generation Monte Carlo SS was introduced in 1983 as a high-performance version of Chevrolet's personal luxury car. Built on the G-Body platform, it featured a 305 V8 HO engine and aggressive styling. The Aerocoupe (1986-1988) added a louvered rear window for NASCAR homologation.
